Flu Prevention
Find out how to prevent and speed recovery from colds and flues using
nutrition, herbal, homeopathic, and home remedies. These techniques have
minimal to no side-effects and in my experience are more effective than flu
shots. This class is taught once a year at the beginning of the cold and
flu season.
Essential Oils Essential oils are extremely powerful and can have tremendous effects in the
body. Some people have tremendous amount of knowledge about how to
use essential oils while others do not. This class is for anyone
interested in learning about the benefits and uses of essential oils. In
this class we will be covering many different topics:
What are essential oils?
Where do they come from?
Precautions and warnings
Different methods of application
Uses for children
Uses for first aid
Uses for colds, flues, and infections
Uses for psychological support (stress,
depression, hyperactivity, grief, etc.)
If you would like to know how to use
essential oils in a variety of situations encountered on a daily basis without
having to become highly educated about all of the different oils available,
this is the class to attend.
Living Well for Life Class The purpose of this class is to teach you how to stay out of the doctor's
office. Many people want to do the "healthy thing" but if they don't know
what the "healthy thing" is, they can't do it. In this health class we
discuss six principles that, if utilized, will help you live longer, feel
better, and look better. Principles discussed include education, exercise,
diet, nutrition, fluid intake, joint health and maintenance etc.
Exercise Class (adjunct to Living Well for Life) Only ten percent of Americans have a regular exercise program that extends
beyond regularly once every January with New Year's resolutions. This
class discusses the benefits and different types of exercise.
Specifically, we give instruction on strength training. Strength training
will burn more fat faster and do more for joint health and anti-aging effects
than any other exercise. There are many excuses for not lifting weights
but with the right technique many of these are eliminated. Very little
weight is needed, there is no need for a gym membership or expensive equipment.
It only requires one or two times per week for 20 minutes maximum, and there is
minimal risk of joint injury.
Diet and Nutrition (adjunct to Living Well for Life) The word diet comes from the Greek work "diata" meaning "way of
life/living". There are hundreds of diets promoted by thousands of people
and all of them can lead to weight loss. There are also many toxic and
unhealthy nutritional supplements on the market. However, what are the
proper dietary and nutritional supplement principles for health and wellness?
Weight loss is a fringe benefit of being healthy. This class teaches
correct principles of diet and nutritional supplementation and dispels many of
the dietary myths prevalent today and perpetuated by many misinformed health
care providers. The goal of this class is to give instruction on how to
recognize the pros and cons of various diets and supplements.
Basic Muscle Testing Many clients ask me for instruction on basic muscle testing techniques for
their own basic personal use at home. This is a hands-on class giving
instruction on the how-to's of muscle testing and the benefits of its use.
We discuss how muscle testing works; testing limitations and potentials; and how
to formulate specific, accurate questions. In order to understand some of
these principles, energetic therapies and how energy works is also discussed.
