By utilizing the MSA to evaluate a patient's need for nutrition, homeopathy, etc., the doctor does not have to play the statistical guessing game.

The MSA communicates with the body to tell the doctor exactly what the patient needs and whether it will work for them or not.

According to traditional Chinese medicine a form of bodily energy called chi is generated in internal organs and circulates throughout the body, forming paths near the surface of the skin called meridians.  The meridian energy flow carries with it information about internal organs.  Acupuncture points are points on the skin, usually located on meridians.  Through safe, skin-level measurements of electrical resistance and polarization at these points, it is possible to analyze the bio-energy and bio-information produced by internal organs and systems.  This process is called Electrodermal Screening.

utilizes a procedure called the MSA (Meridian Stress Assessment) to perform Electrodermal Screening. 

Screening Packages

In the screening procedure, a small, specific electrical current is introduced into the body by pressing a brass probe tip to the acupuncture points on the hands and feet.  No needles are used and the patient does not feel this current.  A graph is produced on the computer screen showing the measurable response for each organ system of your body.  Whether the response reads high or low determines whether the meridian is in an stressed/inflammatory, weakened/degenerative or healthy/balanced state.

A screening of the 58 Master Control Points is done initially at each test, allowing us to perform a "screening physical".  Once these points have been evaluated, further testing is performed along the unbalanced meridian pathways to determine appropriate remedies to balance.  There can be a variety of stressors that cause the imbalance including unresolved bacterial infections, viral infections, parasites, heavy metal overload such as mercury or lead toxicity, food sensitivities, and chemical and/or digestive problems to name a few.  The MSA is also effective in detecting allergies so that remedies can be recommended for desensitization.

After determining the stressors involved, the doctor will determine what the body needs to reduce the stress at the weakened point.  Remedies recommended by the doctor could include, but are not limited to, xenobiotics, homeopathic remedies, Bach flowers, herbal remedies, specific vitamins and/or minerals, enzymes, phytonutrients, and amino acids.  Since the doctor completes a through review of your comprehensive medical and nutritional history prior to the test, he may recommend other therapeutic measures including dietary modifications, chiropractic adjustments, massage, rehabilitation, or acupuncture.
