What are Custom Foot Orthotics? Custom made foot orthotics are insoles manufactured from a cast impression of your feet and worn inside your shoes (casual, dress, diabetic or special activity shoes). Their purpose is to help the bones and joints of the feet function in their optimal neutral position and eliminate the need for your body to compensate for misalignments or structural problems in your feet. Everyone's feet develop differently.
